Born in Alabama. Cute young actress with strong southern accent in musicals and light comedies. Her best role, from what I've seen, is
in Stage Door, 1937. If you haven't seen Stage Door, you should -- it's a very good film!

Buddy Ebsen (1908 - 2003)
One of my all-time favorite actors, Buddy was born in Belleville, Illinois. Popular, prolific and enduring actor / comedian / singer /
dancer. Began on stage with sister Vilma, moved to Hollywood in mid 1930s on contract with MGM. MGM retained Buddy, but let Vilma go.
Buddy went on to play "Davy Crocket" and is best remembered by many for his televison role on "The Beverly Hillbillies."
